The May family has been farming the soils of Long Island for over a century. While our roots began in Melville in the late 1800s, we moved our operation to our current home in Wading River in the early 1980s. Today, May’s Farm continues a proud tradition of growing premium plants and fresh produce for our community.
In our greenhouses, we cultivate a vibrant selection of annuals and perennials, available both at our farm stand and through our wholesale partnerships with local garden centers. We also take great pride in our decades of experience helping local schools and organizations reach their goals through community plant sale fundraisers.
When you visit our fields, you’ll find the very best of the season: from crisp sweet corn and heirloom tomatoes to peppers, melons, and more—picked daily and sold seven days a week. We invite you to join us for our favorite seasonal traditions, including sweet pea picking in June and our festive October season featuring pumpkin picking, hayrides, and our signature corn maze.
As the air turns crisp, the farm transforms for the holidays. We invite you to wander our Christmas tree field to "cut your own" tree—a tradition that brings the fresh scent of the season into your home. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the year with family and friends.
