May's Farm

As June comes to an end, so does strawberry picking.  In early July, our other fruits and vegetables begin to ripen in the fields. First our green and yellow squash, cucumbers, pickles, string beans, and our delicious sweet corn are ready. Later in the month, raspberries, blackberries, cantaloupe, watermelon,  eggplant, and several types of peppers  begin to ripen. Around this time, we start to pick our wide selection of delicious tomatoes.  We have several varieties of grape, cherry and heirloom  tomatoes, in addition to several types of large tomatoes. Plum tomatoes are sold by the pound or by the bushel for sauce. We also grow sunflowers and other types of cut flowers, and have beautiful summer bouquets available at our farm stand.

These, as well as other fruits and vegetables picked fresh from local farms, are available seven days a week at our farm stand. We also sell produce at three area farmers markets. On Thursdays from mid-July through October, we are at the Port Jefferson Farmers Market from 10AM until 4PM. The market is located in the municipal parking lot at the ferry terminal. On Fridays and Sundays, we are at the Patchogue Farmers Market.  This market is located on the north side of Montauk Highway, just west of Rt. 112 on Friday and at the Patchogue train station on Sundays.

While visiting the farm, be sure to treat yourself to an ear of our fresh hot roasted sweet corn, dripping with melted butter. You’ll absolutely love it!
